Four Decades of History

From humble beginnings, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille launched as Perry’s Butcher Shop & Deli in 1979. Established in Houston by Bob Perry, the meat market became an instant gem of the local area. As 1986 approached, Bob’s son, Chris Perry, convinced his father to provide a seated dining option. Indoor tables proved a hit with customers, and by 1993 Chris Perry expanded the company, opening the first Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille.

Throughout the years leading to 2019, Perry’s brand spread across Houston while raising locations throughout Texas and eventually reaching outside the state. Their unique palate and presentation had interested the nation, and in 2020 Perry’s now shipped to the door with the launch of an online market. That leads us to today, where Perry’s operates locations in seven states with additional concepts, such as the CARVE American Grille, and VERDAD True Modern Mexican (which opens in Summer 2023).

While that single butcher shop has blossomed into a dining empire, the original butcher shop, known today as Perry & Sons Market & Grille, is still proudly active in Southeast Texas. And since the start, their iconic pork chop has been along for the monumental rise!

Perry’s Famous Pork Chop is simply a masterpiece! Harkening back to their butcher roots, Perry’s prepares a pork cut that measures seven fingers high. This mouth-watering gluten-free specialty carries a sweet and smoky flavor as chefs rub, cure, and roast the chop on a rotisserie for 4 to 6 hours until flavorful perfection.

Perry’s tops the caramelized, sizzling pork with their signature bleu cheese steak butter. Glazed upon order, the dinner-cut chop is brought table side, carved, and plated in three portions. Treat your tastebuds with the marbled, melt-in-your-mouth “eyelash” (the section above the chop’s eye), three-piece baby back ribs, and center-cut loin.
