Now THIS is the BIGGEST, BEST Buc-ee's in Texas
Now THIS is the BIGGEST, BEST Buc-ee's in Texas

Buc-ee's is part gas station, part Disneyland, part Texas temple—a sight for sore eyes and road-trip full bladders.

So without further ado, welcome to Buc-ee's in Luling! It's simply the best, and biggest. As in, actually the biggest convenience store in Texas - clocking in at a whole 75,593 square feet! But it's not just quantity, it's quality. This Buc-ee's has 120 gas pumps (hello, no waiting), and is 47 miles to Austin, 58 miles to San Antonio, and 140 miles from Houston — so basically located at the nexus of the universe. The grand opening was attended by Governor Greg Abbott himself!

So the Luling Buc-ee's gets the flowers as the biggest (which, ironically, is probably the only thing you can't buy at a Buc-ee's), but EVERY Buc-ee's holds a sweet spot deep in the heart of Texans.

Here's why we ride so hard for that adorable beaver:

AWARD-WINNING restrooms. No really. They've won "Best Restroom in America" awards. They are pristine. Constantly maintained by dedicated staff, GIVE THEM A RAISE! A massive selection of food, drink, and delicious snacks, and you can forget roller dogs — Buc-ee's is serious about food. And it's all made in-house, and all surprisingly high-quality.

There's also a jerky wall. An actual wall of jerky!

We love to watch them carve up the homemade brisket while snacking on Beaver Nuggets (relax, it's actually a caramel corn puff). Also, in a nod to Texas's Czech heritage, you can grab a kolache, where else can you get that roadside?!

Did we mention the wall-of-jerky?

And we don't have time to dive into the wild and weird world of Buc-ee's merch. Need a new fishing pole? You got it. A branded bikini? Yep. A baby bib? You betcha. Maybe some matching family Christmas PJs? They have that too. Actual home decor? Y-E-S.

Alls to say, whatever Buc-ee's you come upon during your travels will be an absolute delight from tip to beaver tail. So load up and head out, Buc-ee's awaits!
